Honors Program

The Honors Program is for students who demonstrate a high dedication to the study of music. Lessons are held twice-weekly, and students receive a mid-term evaluation from their teacher. The term culminates with the studio recital as well as a performance jury. A performance jury consists of selected pieces studied throughout the term, scales, arpeggios, chords, and sight-reading as applicable to each individual. Students in the Honors Program will be encouraged to expand on performance opportunities such as competitions, additional recitals, and chamber music. Teacher recommendation required.
